1950s English Dining Room + short film

Technical drawing, concept artist and model maker.

Experimental filmmaker

I was required to design a set to fit into a location on campus. I did a location survey of the chosen area on campus followed by the technical drawing for the same. Using the technical drawing, I made a white card model that gave me a better idea of the space.

The topic given to us was 'Confinement' and I designed this space for a housewife confined in perfection. The majority of the furniture is white, clean and perfectly symmetrical. Designed for a family of three, each side of the wall describes the character sitting in the chair on that side. My chosen time and place for the design was London in 1950 which required thorough research for accuracy.
